The Intolerable Clock: A Non-Canon Hexarchate RPG

I'm sorry for the abruptness of the previous two posts. For personal reasons, I need to make a clean break from the game. I am stepping down as GM of the game and admin of this community, effective immediately.
ursula (zuhrovet) will continue to have admin status as before, and can add more admins as needed.

If someone else wants to take up the GM mantle, that's fine, but I will no longer be in any way involved in the game. If the players want to continue it, I hope people can do so in a way that makes them happy.

One administrative note: I can no longer offer support for the Game wiki, as that was maintained by a friend of mine as a favor to me, and I can't guarantee how long the wiki will remain available although we'll leave it up for now. It's been known to break in the past for technical reasons beyond my ken, so if you have information there that you want to preserve, I advise making a copy of it sooner rather than later.

Thank you all for three years of stories--that's a great run for any campaign!

Heads-up that I will be out of town (more like out of the country?!) for a week, from Friday, March 6 through Saturday, March 14. I will be on a cruise [1] and I am informed that the internet will be (a) super duper expensive (b) super duper unreliable. So the game is likely to be on semi-hiatus during that week since I can't guarantee being online. I'll try to leave some sort of fun-and-games activity post for that week as an optional thing for people who are so inclined.

Here's where new players can introduce themselves OOC--you may say as much or as little as you want to; in particularly, this is a good place to optionally let us know which pronouns you want used for you-the-player, if that's information you want us to have. (I will default to "they/them/theirs" otherwise.)

We'll start up with Chapter 3 in January.

FYI, I have added ursula (zuhrovet) as an admin for the group. I'm still GMing, but she will help with some of the administration tasks (and also moderation should that become necessary).

I'm about to put up a recruitment post for new players for the game's next chapter in January 2020. We won't have a plot post until then, but there will be an optional character socialization post for the holidays.

(Sorry it's been so quiet--I am under deadline for a book.)

As a reminder, because this is even likelier to happen at the moment due to the presence of certain NPCs: If at any point you find material triggery or objectionable, please alert me/the other players in a thread and I and the other PCs will back off. You do not need to justify or explain your reasons; just a simple "Let's X out [whatever] content" statement will suffice.

Hello, all! So your GM is in Louisiana staring down what is currently a tropical storm and may be a category 1 hurricane by the time it reaches us here in Baton Rouge. There is an outside chance that my husband and I will have to evacuate if it looks like there will be flooding. [1] I will try to update y'all before we leave if so, but depending on how hectic things get, I may not be able to do so. If you don't hear from me for a little bit, that's probably why. Based on my last experience evacuating from a flood, internet access and access to electricity can become dicey.

Anyway, hoping y'all's weather is less exciting than ours. :p

[1] Not to say that the strength of a hurricane is irrelevant--it is very much relevant--but it turns out, as we found out in 2016, that you can be completely hosed over by flooding with a lower-strength storm if it hovers in place and just dumps torrential rain for a week. Since Tropical Storm Barry looks like it's slower-moving, the "hovering in place and dumping water" scenario is the one we're worried about.

Yeah, I know--this is the last one for a while. Yay book promo? I'll be in Texas from March 21 (Thursday) to March 24 (Sunday). I should have internet access during that time, but because of my schedule, my availability may be limited.
