As far as Sasha can tell, the virus is reporting to a very high level user on the station. She could probably fake a report that would pass casual inspection.
The virus looks like a fairly ivory tower Nirai creation, which is part of how she can get around it in the first place. Whoever created it is more of a theoretician rather than someone with a lot of background in real-world security engineering. It's a little more baroque than it really needs to be, like someone can't resist tinkering with it instead of just letting well enough be.
