It's possible Ione knows people who would find Mafyyil's dress the most beautiful thing they had ever seen; while it would look awful with Ione's hair she has definitely not given it a derisive glance! Just a curious one. She might have spy training but it's much easier to be around people who know she's been planted there from somewhere completely different.
