The mothling seems perfectly happy to try to imitate Alaric instead. Its efforts aren't notably better than before, but then, presumably even mothlings need time to learn musicality.
[Nirai Remi does in fact have data on moths' vocal range, which is mostly a function of their maturity, and would be happy to talk shop the next time Alaric runs into him.]
