While Mikodez was in the cargo hold, he’d heard the same noise around him, greatly slowed. “Were we transporting some of these on the Bumblebee?” he says lightly. The security and monitoring in the lab above had been nothing special, so the hatchling couldn’t be that dangerous. [So close and still so far, Mikodez. ]
He hands a small explosive over with his undamaged arm. (The felting needles have vanished from sight.) More blase rummaging through his pack nets him a laser level, which he beams at the floor and corridor wall in swishy figure eights for a few seconds.
[Unless Istradez can figure out the passcode to activate the explosive in the next few seconds (which he could, since he does know Miki of old!), Mikodez is going to grab a rolly cart to try herding the moth bab. He’s still looking at it like it can be turned in to someone for money.]
