So he was meant to be - Mikodez needs to think the implications through, but all he has is Imsayed’s moment of distraction, and he wouldn’t shoot Imsayed now even if his gun worked. Even if this wasn’t about his signifier, there’s still no call for acting like a flaming moron who always shoots his own, and encouragingly, Imsayed had only grappled with him.
“It was a Nirai lab, agent.” Mikodez kicks the politeness up a notch, since it appears to bother him, and slides out of [Istradez’s] hold, which places him behind the *~\EGG BOX/~*.
He thought that Rahal scryings were meant to be obvious, although they had the opportunity on the transport moth that brought him to the ‘rift’. Had Imsayed watched the same Andan dramas, to know he meant mind control? Who would have bothered to bolster those ancient legends about rifts with this much detail for a simulation? Unless some scenario maker was really bored (all too likely). One question that's bothered him longest, though: is he really betting on two years of Academy experience that the Shuos, perpetually cash strapped, would keep simulation technology this realistic to themselves? If the cost was prohibitive, license it to the Andan! rather than selling it to the public?
