I keep missing the bit about social rank, despite the bit where it's in the text, because of how anomalous the Tseya-Jedao one was >_> So it's the Andan bludgeoning you on the head with knowledge of exactly how much (wealth/status/power) they have over you, as conveyed by a glance. That...should be fun in simulation scenarios.

Well, it's not your fault that there isn't really a lot of textual evidence to go off! It was going to be more relevant with Andan Niath (who, before Cheris reset the calendar, was quite literally able to melt people's brains around him because of his high social rank--nephew of the Shuos hexarch--and the fact that he couldn't control when he had enthrallment on/off).
